Now I see why so many users list their locations, ratings, and favorite players--those are the example pieces of information indicated by chessgames.com. Well, I often like to deviate from the main lines, but here I think I'd rather go with the crowd. ;-)

I live in California.

I don't have a real rating, but my FICS standard rating hovers around 2100. Does anyone know what Elo rating this might translate into?

I'm afraid I can't pick a single favorite player from the many that I like, but my favorite annotator is definitely Tarrasch!

Oh, and one more thing: Check out my music!

Some of the songs are about chess, so I don't think I'm breaking any rules by posting this here. ;-)

MarioBalibrera: Again, easy to solve as a puzzle, but I shudder to speculate whether I'd think of it over the board.

MarioBalibrera: I liked this week's puzzles--a bit easier than usual, perhaps, but it was nice to have some pawn play for once.

MarioBalibrera: Let us return to the topic: By what score do you expect Kramnik to lose? I'm thinking maybe 4.5-1.5. I am not saying this to insult my hero, but let's be honest... :'(
