   May-27-21 Capablanca vs E Delmonte, 1901 (replies)

CherrylandCafe: "Sergash: Jose Raul Capablanca was 12 years old when he disputed this game and was already probably the best player of Cuba (he would become national champion that same year)" Though Capablanca beat Cuban champion J. Corzo in the 1901 match, the title was not at stake.

   Oct-12-20 L Eisenberg vs Capablanca, 1909 (replies)

CherrylandCafe: My best job ever on Capablanca's games in Guess-The-Move (par was 92, but my 146 raised par to 101)! My reward for long stretches of 3-point guesses was arriving in a lost position at move 35. The tactics in the two rooks-vs.-rook plus knight ending are gorgeous.

   Apr-30-20 J Ziogaite vs A Rudolf, 2012

CherrylandCafe: Watch the black knight play in each quadrant.

CherrylandCafe: I'd like to be able to identify Guess h Move games from the database list view without having to virw the game.

Mar-01-17 Morphy vs Anderssen, 1858 (replies)

CherrylandCafe: This game belongs in A First Book of Morphy, to demonstrate how three extra moves in development adequately compensate for an opening pawn sacrifice.

CherrylandCafe: That's real nice of you. I'll look for that invitation, and try to make the event, but Ted Castro and I aren't yet NMs. Frisco Del Rosario

CherrylandCafe: That is the Martin Appleberry who is still friends with Alan Kobernat.
