Dec-03-07 Carlsen vs Adams, 2007 (replies)

Captain Scarlet: I followed this game live from move 17 by which time the damage was already done. This must have been improvised play by Adams as he surely wouldn't have planned to be nearly lost by move 17 would he?

Sep-06-07 UK vs China Match (2007) (replies)

Captain Scarlet: The Brits certainly seem to have a time management issue and this deficiency has cost them a few points already. In both of David Howell's games he used up a lot of time when he had reasonable, obvious and playable choices.

   Sep-06-07 Y Shen vs J Houska, 2007 (replies)

Captain Scarlet: Win after win after win missed by Houska. Even allowing for time pressure this was amazing!

   Jul-19-07 M Klinova vs D Spence, 2006 (replies)

Captain Scarlet: A few too many !!s being used by some people!! This was rather an easy puzzle and although the moves are pretty they are not hard to find.

Captain Scarlet: I've only had a quick look at the last few pages of this craziness but have concluded that Davolni cannot be a real person. He is more likely to be the comic creation, like Borat, of a fiendish humourist.

   Apr-11-07 O Feuer vs O'Kelly, 1934 (replies)

Captain Scarlet: This is too easy to be a Monday puzzle, never mind a Wednesday one!

   Jan-01-07 Hastings (2006/07) (replies)

Captain Scarlet: a great shame for Williams. He played superbly for 3/4 of the game and then blew it. He can't quite make it to GM status - maybe this game illustrates why.

Captain Scarlet: You have ommitted the names, syracophy, so your testy comment looks a bit silly, obviously.

   Aug-14-06 Raymond Keene (replies)

Captain Scarlet: A decent line-up for the Staunton Memorial but no live coverage, unfortunately.

   Aug-11-06 K Arakhamia-Grant vs N Davies, 2006

Captain Scarlet: How could Arakhamia-Grant blow this? She had a great position after black's 42nd and a draw must have been very disappointing (hence palying aimlessly for many moves)
