Hi All! My name is Flemming Amigo and I'm Danish. a philosopher by education. Unmarried (but I do love women) -- Well,I'm not an active chess player, unfortunately, because very quickly I realized that I just dont have what it takes,I dont have that certain 'killer instinct' which I do believe is required to really 'make it' at Top Level,it's not part of my character. I guess I'm too much of a Buddhist - If I were to win a game I'd just feel too much compassion for my opponent and if I were to lose, then I'd have too much compassion for myself - thus I'd be forced to draw all the time! (and only Tigran Petrosian could get away with that at Top Level!) -- So instead I concentrate on Chess History, opening theory, and especially Women's Chess. I dont mean to be dogmatic here, like claiming women's chess is so much more interesting, but at least to me it's immensely fascinating, mainly because it's such a hugely unexplored field. To me it's not much Fun kibitzing to some Fischer Game,10000 others have done that, already, and they're all better chess players than I am - so,no no,let me 'handle' a Tatiana Ratcu Game, that's what I like... Feel Free to come and see me here and talk about All & Everything.

BLarsen1967: Agreed - but I was thinking of us,the spectators,the entertainment value

BLarsen1967: Elitsa R. placed second in the Bulgarian Ch. 2013(w) ,she scored 6 out of 9 http://www.chess-results.com/tnr983...

Nov-18-13 Anand - Carlsen World Championship Match (2013) (replies)

BLarsen1967: I just dont see why it should be so hard for Anand to get the position he wants. There is no 'excuse' for Anand,it's generally held that his vast knowledge of opening theory is greater than Carlsen's ditto

   Nov-18-13 A Sharevich vs D Sirkova, 2010

BLarsen1967: It's hard to detect any logical idea behind 19.b4,White loses a pawn and no compensation. - Better seems 19.Qd3,then perhaps 19..a5 20.Rfb1 d4 21.Nd2 Bd5 - still not good for White

   Nov-18-13 C Hoi vs S Polgar, 1989

BLarsen1967: Rather than the aggressive 12.h4 White might try 12.Ne4. For instance 12..Qb6 13.Bc3 Nc7 14.Qd2 Bxf1 15.Rxf1 Nd7 16.Kf2. Must be fine for White
