May-17-09  vonKrolock: Professor Walter Jameson?! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZxPK...
Nov-23-10  vonKrolock: Well, the Chess scene is remarcable, and it arrives that the game occupies an important place in the lifes of fellow scholars Samuel Kittridge (actor Edgar Stehli) and Walter Jameson (Kevin McCarthy), even if the text makes just a brief reference to their encounter, lively staged while they converse and have a drink after dinner . Another curiosity about this story on long living is that all the actors arrived to be noted for their own, and active longevity - Protagonist McCarthy (born 1914), Swiss born Edgar Stehli (1884-1973), the legendary Estelle Winwood (1883-1984) , while young daughter and fiancee Suzanna Kittridge rĂ´le was played by actress Dody (aka Dodie) Heath, who is currently in her early eighties.

A quite intriguing detail in this 1960 production created by Rod Serling: during his lesson, Jameson refers to <Tuesday, September 11th, 1864> - Well, that distant day, kept in the memories from the Civil War, was actually not a Tuesday, but a Sunday (!!) ...

Kevin McCarthy died Saturday, September 11th, 2010
