He won today the Apatin-Vukovar (Serbia and Croatia) 2010: http://www.chess-results.com/tnr316...

Mar-19-10  Prugno: Very interesting information about IM Szuhanek, but from his CV I gather that he is not really a cardiologist (if you live in Rome, and have studied some Latin, written Romanian is not so impossible to understand...)

Rather, he apparently works as financial auditor/manager in the cardiology department of a hospital.

Anyway I hope he never finds himself in the tragic situation of a strong IM last summer (Zoler, I think), whose amateur opponent got so excited at the prospect of having a won position that he suffered a fatal heart attack!

Penguincw: IM Ranko Szuhanek wins the Novi Sad Master Tournament with a score of 7/9 (+5,-0,=4), edging out one player by half a point, and 2 players by one and a half points.

Unfortunately, it was only a small tournament (with just 3 GMs, all from his country Serbia), but he gains 11.4 points. He was also the top seed.
