Kibitzer's Corner
Feb-23-07  geraldo8187: I've recently been going through the tournament histories of many players in the USCF and finding how long it takes them to make the leap from 1300 to 2000 (mostly because i'm at 1300 and want to know how fast it is possible to reach that level). Ray Robson did it in about 2 years, Hikaru did it in able one and a half years, but John W. Cole, currently a NM living in Goshen, Indiana did it in a year and 4 months. Anyone know of someone who's done it faster??
Feb-24-07  geraldo8187: also interesting about this guy is that on chessbase, he only has 2 losses of about 20 games in their database
Feb-24-07  Plato: I've used to play a lot of blitz with him on ICC. His alias was "CyberTal" (maybe still is?). Very sharp player.
Feb-27-07  geraldo8187: some more info on this guy, his team has now won the USAT Midwest (this year called north) twice in a row now with him at first board. also, i believe he got joint first at one of the denker tournaments. can anyone confirm this?
Feb-21-10  MrMrsKnight: I know he beat the pants off of me when I played him back in a high school championship. Very strong player, also I remember he wore extremely thick glasses.
