GrahamClayton: When the Wisconsin College of Music, which was founded by Hans and his brother in 1899, and the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music merged and formed a new Wisconsin Conservatory of Music in August 1911, Professor Hans Bruening was appointed as associate director, a position he held until his death in March 1922.

'Musical America', August 26, 1911, p.27

So if Hans Bruening had emigrated to the United States in 1899 or earlier, then who is the Hans Bruening that played the 6 move miniature against NN in Berlin in 1907?
