He went on to the 2010 World U-16 team chess championship with a score of 6/10 (tying 9th-11th with 4 wins in the final 4 rounds and 2 other wins in the 10 rounds), tie-breaking for 11th on 2nd board and seeing the team tie 8th-10th, the Canadians tie-breaking for 10th. He finished with 4/9 at the 2011 WYCC U-16 category in Brazil and was playing at the World Youth Championship (2012) in the U-16 category. He finished in a tie for 3rd-7th (before tiebreaks) at the U18 Canadian youth chess championships in 2013.
