Kibitzer's Corner
Aug-22-22  SChesshevsky: A nice win by Duda. Where it seems he basically pestered Pragg into a loss.

This 2...d5 3. Nd2 c5 Trompowsky line appears to have had a surprising number of top level tests over the last ten years or so. Here, think 4...Bxf6 not most common and computer says black's fine. As seen, at 7...Nc6 black has good center and plenty of scope for the two B's. Plus better developed.

Then rather than develop, Duda looks to just harass. Getting an annoying advanced c pawn and some seeming initiative. Then the c pawn turns into an annoying advanced passed d pawn.

Of course, the computer sees through this and evaluates black as better through most of the play. At 21. Rhd1, the CG computer puts a -.98 number on it.

But is the human evaluation anywhere near this good for black? Appears little harmony with his pieces. Some weak pawns, rooks scattered and N virtually immobile with K kind of stuck as the blockade. Maybe can sort it out successfully with plenty of time but...

Unfortunately, Pragg isn't able to sort it out accurately and the combo of whites monster B and blacks weak pawns decides it. Really interesting game and a well deserved win by Duda I thought.
