  FSR: Weird pawn structure.

OhioChessFan: They played on far longer than needed, but that beats a 14 move draw. White's Rook foray on the 8th rank was futile, as there were no targets. I suspect White hoped Black might move the Rook off the e file.

It's instructive that Black's persistent threat of Re4 kept the White Bishop on the b1/h7 diagonal and unable to join White's Rooks in attack.

FSR: The same line was seen the following day in A Goryachkina vs Ju Wenjun, 2020, with Black winning that one.

perfidious: Seeing this in high-level games makes little sense: why does White play to damage his opponent's pawns, then freely acquiesce in the ruination of his own structure?

While we have got accustomed to seeing modern masters accept pawn weaknesses in the opening and middlegame phases in return for free play, heading towards an ending with organic weaknesses aplenty hardly seems to fill the bill.
