The source for this game score is "Rigasche Rundschau', April 10, 1937, p. 14".

However, "Aizsargs, Nr.4 (15.04.1937)" lists <39.Nd6> as the final move. http://www.periodika.lv/periodika2-...

It is possible that the further moves listed in the extant score were analysis after the fact.

At any rate, here is the position after <39.Nd6> (black resigns) in the "Aizsargs" score:

It seems black could have resigned in good conscience here- <Shredder> gives white +5 at this juncture.

Possibly we will never know when <Petrov> really resigned.

Jun-20-19  hemy: <JFQ> You are continuing doing great work on Latvian chess history. I may offer my help regarding your previous post.

<when <Petrov> really resigned.>

"Rigasche Rundschau", April 10, 1937, p. 14:
http://periodika.lv/periodika2-view...

"... 47. Sd6-f7 aufgegeben" meaning "after move 47. Nd6-f7 Black resigned."

"Aizsargs", Nr.4, April 15, 1937, p. 308:
http://www.periodika.lv/periodika2-...

"... 39. Ze8-d6 un baltie uzvareja." - ("39. Ne8-d6 and White won") It means that White won this game, not necessary on move 39.)
