An Englishman: Good Morning: Joining the game at move 41, but check out 29.Ng5!, a defensive brilliancy. Or a bluff that snookered Black. Either or, a fun little move.
Oct-04-18  Marmot PFL: Kramnik playing the Torre, haven't seen that too often.
Oct-04-18  Marmot PFL: Guess he plays this fairly often, 2 Nf3 and if 2...d5 3 c4 or if 2...g6 3 Bg5 avoiding KID or Grunfeld.

An Englishman: Good Morning: The Torre is indeed a rare choice for Kramnik. One oddity--according to the database, he is slightly more likely to use it vs. 2...g6 than 2...d5. One surprise--we left the database as early as move 8, with 8.dxc5. In the past, White ignored the c5 pawn with 8.Bd3.
Oct-04-18  whiteshark: Howell is in deep trouble and he plays on increments only.

HeMateMe: why did black play 27...BxP? Seemed like suicide.

Dionysius1: So that one of white's defences 29.♕xg6 doesn't work because 29...♖xg6 is available
