An Englishman: Good Evening: I understand that White played the Advanced Variation of the French Defense with colors reversed and a pair of extra tempi--and that remains about all I understand of this strange struggle.
Feb-25-18  wtpy: I think we need a new photograph of Artemiev, he doesn't look like he has hit puberty yet on the one on his chessgames.com page. I agree that this is very interesting game; if Artemiev's play continues apace then he could be new member of 2700 club after this tournament.
Feb-25-18  zanzibar: <wtpy> the photo in this tweet shows what I think is a recent photo of him, and places him squarely in the advanced teenage years:

Mar-04-18  Saniyat24: Artemiev grabbed enough ELO points in the Aeroflot Open(2018) to break the 2700 barrier...!
Mar-04-18  Saniyat24: This is Chess Bungee Jumping...! :O
Mar-05-18  Saniyat24: thank you <zanzibar> for sharing... ...and Happy Birthday Bungee Boy...!!
Mar-05-18  Saniyat24: 46.f6...Bye Bye Bologan...!
Mar-20-19  Jambow: <I understand that White played the Advanced Variation of the French Defense with colors reversed and a pair of extra tempi>

What???

Diverse intermixing of tactics and board control. I love games where the entire cosmos is in play...
