MissScarlett: This is the sole surviving score of Alekhine's only simul in Britain before 1923. His debut, the final game of a mini-match with Edward Lasker, took place the day before: Ed. Lasker vs Alekhine, 1913

Black should have played 34.. c4! which equalizes.

Correct would have been 34.axb5 axb5 35.b3!. An example line: 35.. b4 36.c4 f6 37.f4 gxf4+ 38.♔f3 ♔d4 39.g5! +-

Not any more....found two new games...and any pre-WW1 Alekhine game is worth two of the latter.

Telemus: <MS: found two new games> My pet database for such cases (published 2006) contains also two additional games from that simul: AA vs Huntsman 1-0 (55) and AA vs Herbert Jacobs 1/2 (66).
