  al wazir: 49...f5 looks like a shorter way to a win. After 50. Ne2/Ng2 Kd6, there's no way to stop white from promoting a ♙.

If instead 50. Nf6, then 50...Nf7 51. Nxh7 Ne8! Now black can force an exchange of the ♘s, e.g., 52. Ke2 a5 53. Kd3 a4 54. Kc4 b5+ 55. Kd5 a3 56. Kxe5 a2 57. Nf6 a1=Q+. 58. K any 59. Nxf6.

His entire comment is full of nonsense illegal moves. I do like 49...f5 but I can't understand the analysis.
