Kibitzer's Corner
Aug-18-13  Everett: Nakamura makes his opponent play an unexciting version of the KID, and then hits him with a nice exchange sac where the Black's rooks have no play whatsoever.
Aug-18-13  SirRuthless: A solid throttling. The computer didn't seem to evaluate the exchange sac as particularly strong at first...

Yes, tremendous <POSITIONAL EVALUATION> by Nakamura, playing an <EXCHANGE SACRIFICE> that Houdini does not particularly like.

HeMateMe: Why don't my exchange sacs work out this well?

Because you're not the World #5 player like Nakamura is.

:-)

Aug-18-13  SirRuthless: Perhaps number 4 if Grischuk draws...

Grischuk won a clutch victory over LQL to force tiebreak.

Aug-18-13  Shams: The second impressive Exchange KID win for White in this tournament (Jakovenko vs M Paragua, 2013).
Aug-18-13  Everett: <Shams: The second impressive Exchange KID win for White in this tournament (Jakovenko vs M Paragua, 2013).>

And Svidler's Makagonov KID vs Radja had a very similar structure as well.

Aug-20-13  randomsac: A very exciting game. I like Nakamura's bold play with getting his king involved to lock down the middle files of the board.
Nov-20-15  nilanjanasm: Thats great game
