May-24-13  fisayo123: Well played Ricsi! It's always good to beat a legendary GM like Short.
May-24-13  JPi: JPi: Again a very original way to challenge the opening by GM Short Maybe 15...Qe6 (On 15...Bc6 17.Nd2) was the way to keep the tension "Not so bad N vs Not so good B."
May-24-13  luzhin: Can't see any win for Rapport if Short had simply played 45...Qxf4!
May-24-13  gregory2188: <luzhin> 46. Qc6 looks good for white?!
May-24-13  Ulhumbrus: Instead of 13...Qxc4, 13..dxe6 leaves the c4 pawn exposed to attack

Insead of 19...Rf7, 18...b5 gets Black's queen side pawn majority moving at once.

One suspects that Short outplayed Rapport but then missed the right way somewhere.

HeMateMe: was 35..f4 necessary? This seems to open up the position, giving white the space to win.
May-24-13  cro777: 35...f4 was not necessary. Better was 35... Rf7 with a possible continuation

36. Re8 Qxc3 37. Rh8 Qd4 38. Qe8 Qd6 39. Rg8+ Kf6

and the game would have probably ended in a draw.

May-24-13  Whitehat1963: Impressive for the youngster!
Jul-21-13  whiteshark: Daniel ♔ analysed this great ♕♖endgame here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kgyv...

and it starts after <34...Qf6>
