Mar-05-14  Shams: Looks like <perfidious> has his very own troll.
Mar-05-14  Moszkowski012273: Mr. Shaw likes to insult people he's never met, simply returning the favor.

perfidious: <Shams> Truth is, I really should be 0-62 here instead of near .500. The fact that I am not is an obvious testimonial to my genius.
Mar-05-14  Shams: <Moszkowski012273> Can you please confine your response to the same thread where you felt insulted? The site suffers when these disputes colonize other pages.

Also, "of" is not a verb.

Mar-05-14  Moszkowski012273: No, and I don't care about verbs (or lack of em) one bit. This isn't an English essay.
Mar-05-14  Shams: Fair enough, but here at chessgames.com we pride ourselves on having some of the more literate trolls on the internet. You're doing your people a disservice.

perfidious: <Shams> Yew shouldn't of said that--Ah done taught y'all better English!
Mar-05-14  Everett: < Moszkowski012273: Mr. Shaw likes to insult people he's never met, simply returning the favor.>

We never met you, but I say we are allowed to return the favor if you keep on blathering.

Who knows, maybe Shaw was right, but we'll never know from your informative posts.

Mar-05-14  Moszkowski012273: Cool, return away...
Mar-06-14  Karposian: 23...Nxd5 is of course a huge mistake but Black seems positionally lost anyway. I guess the only move that could keep the fight going is 23...Bf5, but White's d-pawn would eventually become unstoppable I think. Anyway, a well played game by <perfidious>.
Mar-06-14  RookFile: Should black have played 11....e5?
Mar-06-14  Karposian: <RookFile: Should black have played 11....e5?> 11...e5 certainly seems playable but then I think 12.d5 followed by 13.f4 would be strong. White still looks OK.

Domdaniel: Argh. If our trolls are literate, what are the others like?

'Of' isn't a verb? I'd never had of known.

Incidentally, didn't another chap named Shaw -- aka GBS -- leave some money in his will for reform of the English language? And, courtesy of Eliza Doolittle and 'Enry 'Iggins, the dosh was not insignificant.

Domdaniel: I like this 5...Ne4 line of the Nimzo, but I prefer to play it as a sort of Dutch with ...f5.

But I would of.

So their!

perfidious: <Dom> Today I would probably go in for the more common 6.Qc2 f5 7.a3, despite the result of this game.

The suggestion of 11....e5 by <RookFile> seems reasonable to me as well.

Nov-16-14  tranquilsimplicity: <Perfidious> I would have sworn that White was of Grandmaster standard. Beautiful game.#
