Jun-21-12  whiteshark: The unbearable lightness of ♖ endgames.

Honza Cervenka: Instead of double trade on d4 David should have played 16...f6. After that Houdini cries bloody +0.56 for white but then fails to show anything constructive. 17.d5 Bf7 18.Nf5 Kh7 with next g6 is hardly dangerous for black.

Honza Cervenka: Also 21...dxe5 was not good, and 22.Nf5 could have been even stronger than 22.Nf3, which was sufficient On the other side, I am not sure that after 21...g6 black can survive.

After 21. ... g6 22. Qc1 Kh7 (Black is forced to defend the h6-pawn with the King. 22. ... Be6? 23. Nh5! ) 23. Nge2

my engine came up with this: 23. ... Re7 24. Nf4 Rxe5 25. Rxe5 dxe5 26. Nxg6 exd4 27. Qxc5 Kxg6 28. Qxd4 a4 29. Rd3 Ra5 30. Qc3 Rf5 31. Qd2 axb3 32. axb3 Qb8 33. Rxd7 Qxb3 34. Rxc7 Qd5 25. Qc2

And Black should hold this I think. So now I prefer 21. ... g6 22. Kh7 23. Nge2 Re7 24. f4!.

Jun-22-12  Hesam7: <22.Nf5 could have been even stronger than 22.Nf3>

I am not so sure about that, it is true that after 22. Ndf5 Bxf5 23. Nxf5 Qf6 24. Nxg7 Kxg7 25. Qxc5

Black's position looks dreadful. However White did not strongly enough after 22. Nf3 either, after 22. ... Nb7 23. Nxe5 Nd6 he can improve with 24. Nh5!

Another long forcing line from my engine: 24. ... Bf5 25. Qc3 Qg5 26. g4 Ne4 27. Rxe4 Bxe4 28. f4 Qe7 29. Rd7 Qb4 30. Rxf7 Rxe5 31. Rxg7+ Kf8 32. Qxb4+ axb4 33. fxe5 Bd5! 34. Rxc7 Rxa2 35. Nf4 Bxb3 36. Rb4 Ra4 37. Kf2

But this seems winning for White.

Jun-26-12  tesasembiring: Svidler very strong in defence and attack also, he plays like Anand i just wondering after he beaten Navara chez champhion he will make match with Anand..How about this Idea FIDE?
