Apr-14-12  Per: What happened here?
Apr-14-12  Garech: <Per> - Caruana kicked ass, because he is awesome!!

-Garech

Apr-14-12  balzarius: Black is definitely winning after 35...fxg3!.36fxg3 Qxf2+,followed by Nh3 and there is nothing White can do anymore. If instead White plays 36.Bxg5,then Black also wins after 36...gxf2+!37.Kf1 hxg5 etc.
Apr-14-12  luzhin: After 35...fxg3 38.fxg3 Qf2+ 39.Kh1 Nh3 40.Bxe4+ Caruana can then play 40...Qf5!!
Apr-15-12  balzarius: Yes,indeed 40...Qf5!! is a brilliant move and White is finished off after 41.Rd5 Bxd5 42.cxd5 Nf2+! and Black captures the bishop with a devastating attack.
Apr-18-12  goldenbear: This is a beautiful game, but I can't help wondering how Black intended to respond to 10.Ba3. If 10.d6, then 11.c5 and who wants to be Black in that position?
Dec-18-22  tonsillolith: < luzhin: After 35...fxg3 38.fxg3 Qf2+ 39.Kh1 Nh3 40.Bxe4+ Caruana can then play 40...Qf5!!>

The computer then suggests <41. Rd5!?>, but maintains that White has a winning advantage.
