Mar-11-12  luzhin: Neat: after 40...fxe6 41.Nd7+! Rxd7 42.Qh8+ nets Black's Queen.
Mar-11-12  stst: Black can delay the loss by launching a "counter-attack" beginning with 40.... Qb8+
41.Re1 Rd1
42.Rf1 .... etc.
but the position of the Black K is still very vulnerable.
Mar-11-12  twinlark: Not to mention being a piece down.

Penguincw: Nice skewer threat with an exchange sac. Good Wednesday/Thursday puzzle.
Mar-12-12  Jim Bartle: One thing I like about this game is that it suggests how hard Yifan Hou was working to make her attack work, since she repeated moves a couple of times, I assume to gain time to think.
Mar-12-12  galdur: Sometimes those frozen moments appear a bit off.

Mar-12-12  Mudphudder: Nice tactical eye by Yifan in the end here!
Mar-12-12  notyetagm: Hou Yifan vs Stefannson Reykjavik Open 2012 40 Rc6xBe6! 1-0 GC: THE UNDERRATED REMOVAL OF THE GUARD
Mar-12-12  notyetagm: Yifan Hou vs Stefansson, 2012

Game Collection: THE UNDERRATED REMOVAL OF THE GUARD -- Heisman 40 Rc6xBe6! 1-0 e6-bishop defends d7-sq, d8-rook defends skewer

Mar-15-12  tonsillolith: Incredible central control with the white pieces. I rely on pawns way too much to try to achieve central control.
