Oct-03-23  Brenin: After failing to make 34 ... Qe1+ work, I found 34 ... Rxh3+ 35 gxh3 Nf3, and White can prevent mate on h2 only by giving up his Q with 36 Qe8+ Qxe8, since 36 Rd2 allows Qf1 mate.
Oct-03-23  mel gibson: I got the first ply but couldn't see it through to checkmate.

Stockfish 16 says mate in 15:

34. .. Rxh3+

Korora: Saw the initial crow sacrifice but not the follow-up.
Oct-03-23  raymondhow: Eventually I saw that nothing could stop the mate on h2 after 34... Rxh3+ 35 gxh3 Nf3 except for giving up the White Queen.
Oct-03-23  King.Arthur.Brazil: It is immediate: 34...Rxh3+ 35. gxh3 Nf3 36. Rd2 Qf1#. If don't capture: 35. Kg1 Nf3+ 36. gxf3 Rg3+ 37. Kh1 Qg2#.
Oct-03-23  stacase: The Rook sacrifice followed up with 35...Nf3 Threatens 36...Qh2# 37.R62 doesn't work for White as then 37...Qf8#. As played 36.Rd8+ made no sense.
Oct-03-23  raymondhow: < If don't capture: 35. Kg1 Nf3+ 36. gxf3 Rg3+ 37. Kh1 Qg2#. > Quicker is 35. Kg1 Qe3#
Oct-03-23  saturn2: White threatens Bxd2. 34....Rxh3 35.gxh3 Nf3 threatens Qh2 and after 36.Rd8+ Kh7 white is running out of moves.
Oct-03-23  TheaN: I got blind on this one, had 34....Ra3? given 35.Qxa3 Qxd1+ 36.Kh2 Nf1 looks promising, but 35.Bxa3 +- is an issue. Saw 35....Rxh3+ but missed Nf3.

louispaulsen88888888: I kept trying a bunch of queen checks after the rook sac but nothing worked, then I recalled the Arabian Mate, which is often unstoppable once it’s threatened. While that’s with Rook and knight, it’s the same idea but even stronger with a Q.
Oct-03-23  Allderdice83: I was looking at it with very sleepy eyes. After some coffee this morning, the solution jumped out at me. The point is, after 36. Rd8+ Kh7, the c2 checking square is covered by the Black queen, and if 37. Rd2 to stop 37 ... Qh2#, then simply 37 ... Qf1#.

PawnSac: Did anyone mention that after ..Rxh3+ if white declines the sac with Kg1 there's ..Nf3+ gx Rh2 and it's lights out. But faster is..

PawnSac: I just played through the whole game twice, and loaded the download in winboard to look at a few subvariations. Now.. I haven't started any engines, I was enjoying the game on its own. but I have to say, from a human player point of view, Duda's play was outstanding. He mastered the game from beginning to end.
As far as I can see (at my sub-GM level), it appears to be strategically and tactically flawless. There were no breaks in continuity. He craftily parried white's threats with sublime moves that improve his position, his timing seems impeccable. I REALLY like this game.

At the time of this game Duda's rating was 2247. Two years later in Oct 2012 his rating was 2470. He was on a steep climb, and it seems that in this game he was playing a little above his rating. But at 12 years old he is already developing a mature tactical and positional understanding. Impressive.
