Oct-21-11  Garech: Another great game from Nyzhnyk; I'm amazed his commanding lead in this tournament is not receiving more attention on this site!

Oct-21-11  twinlark: Nicely played endgame with OCBs. Nyzhnyk might finally be making his run.
Oct-21-11  Shams: <twinlark> He turned fifteen three weeks ago. It's already too late.
Oct-21-11  twinlark: <Shams> True. At the very least he should have been European Champion and World Junior Champion by now. Not only that but missing out on the Candidates was a setback from which it's obviously too late to recover.
Oct-22-11  frogbert: hehe. it's now it starts, though. he's where he needs to be at 15, in order to challenge the likes of giri and carlsen. so far nobody (including giri) has fully copied carlsen's 2570 to ca. 2700 from age 15 to 16. carlsen then spent one year (16 to 17 roughly) stabilizing around 2700 (2698 -> 2714 from oct 2006 -> oct 2007), before the year 17 to 18 saw him go from 2714 to 2786. he's never been below 2770 since then, and he broke 2800 before turning 19 and been 2800+ ever since.

nyzhnyk's got a busy schedule ahead of him! :o)

Oct-22-11  frogbert: *has been
