Jun-02-19  sea7kenp: In my opinion, Black helped White Mate him with 7 ... Nbd7. 7 ... Qe7 (to protect f7) looks much better.
Aug-03-19  gambitfan: 3. ... Bg4 ? is a known opening mistake in the Philidor

Troller: 5.gxf3 is also excellent for White. But when Black plays 3..Bg4 it is tempting to go for quick mate like here, that was also Morphy's choice in the famous opera game.
Nov-13-24  Gottschalk: Horrible 7...Nbd7
Duke Karl von Braunschweig played better 7...De7 in the famous Opera Game:

Morphy vs Duke Karl / Count Isouard, 1858
