Jun-10-11  libertyjack: This is a GREAT game. Almost Karpovian.
Jun-10-11  achieve: Haven't replayed it with comp assist but this looks extremely good. Whites pieces look better from say 20 moves onward and then Giri just takes out every bit of value out of those black pieces, exchanges, and improves his own pieces. 1-0 made to look easy.
Jun-10-11  achieve: <almost Karpovian> Reminds me of Fischer as well; gutsy to trade off like that and "know" you'll have a conversion.

Penguincw: Poor Grandelius. He's at -2 after 2 rounds.
Jun-10-11  sevenseaman: A high quality game, lots of hubris. Quality of opponent may have upped Giri's confident, enjoyable showing.
Jun-10-11  Atking: Yes really impressive!
Jun-11-11  pajaste: Was going to say 13.Qh3 is a high class GM novelty but it's been played before in Nakamura vs A Aleksandrov, 2004
