Kibitzer's Corner
Apr-20-11  jahhaj: Can anyone tell me why this is resignable? After 71.Qxf7 Rxf7 72.g6 Ra7 73.Kg5 White seems to have a draw at worst.
Apr-20-11  Hovik2009: I feel some hidden scoresheet concpiracy in this tornament, same strange things and odd moves happened in Tatev's other win aganist Goletiani.

So that is the big WHY , in this game any legal move by black except 70...Qf7?? leads to the mate to white, even a six years old chess player in the worst kind of time trouble could see the right path!, it is really shameful way to undermine some particular player's achivements!

Apr-20-11  jahhaj: <Hovik2009> Good point, I must admit I'd only looked at the final position. 70...Qf7 is a horrendous blunder especially when you consider that 70...Rxf4+ is an obvious winning move.

I can't believe that Qf7 was actually played, must be a transmission error. Probably White resigned on move 68 or 69.

Apr-20-11  niemzo: I was watching it live and the transmission ended after 65.Kxh5 with the result appearing. They were playing with the increment I think at this point, though, so everything is possible.
