  GrahamClayton: The bishop sacrifice cannot be accepted due to 19.♕h4+ ♔g7 20.♕g5+ ♔h8 21.♕h6+ ♔g8 22.♗h7+ ♘xh7 23.♖xd8 winning the Queen.
Sep-23-12  backrank: I have seen this game before; unfortunately I don't remember, in which book.

<Graham Clayton> Unfortunately, after 18 ... Kxh6 19 Qh4+? Nh5! seems to be winning; White has to start with 19 Qe3+ (instead of Qh4+) Kg7 20 Qg5+ Kh8 21 Qh6+, but it's only a draw, since if he wins the queen as indicated by you, Black has far too much material and will win.

White could win with the rook sac on g7 one move earlier, i.e. on move 16.

Furthermore I wonder why Black didn't play 12 ... Ndf6 instead of 12 ... Ngf6, and why White didn't take on h6 (Bxh6) on moves 13 or 14, and what had happened if Black had taken on h3 (Bxh3) on moves 15 or 16.

A strange game!

Nov-06-18  Saniyat24: French Window on the h-island...!
Nov-26-18  ughaibu: In the Qe3 etc line, instead of Bh7, white can play Ng5, threatening both Bh7 followed by taking the queen and the knight, and Qh2 followed by Rg1.
