Jan-06-10  donehung: Aronian shatters a "top form" Gelfands defence.
Jan-06-10  shintaro go: Did I hear someone say Bishop pair?
Jan-07-10  Hesam7: 32. ... Bf6 is a blunder, the machine thinks that after 32. ... Bg7 33. Rxb3 h6

the position is equal.

Jan-07-10  Chlipchlop: Very clean game from both - until the "blunder".
I'm still impressed (as often) by the pressure Aronian puts to his opponent even with such a "simple" play. A kind of "positional aggressive" style. ;)
Jan-07-10  310metaltrader: i do not see the win here?
Jan-07-10  Chlipchlop: Where do you want to move the black queen ?
And white has the threat Qd4 on Qe6/Qe7, after that there's no more defense.
Jan-07-10  310metaltrader: play it out for me, i do not see it. if qd4, the king can sidestep the mate.
Jan-07-10  310metaltrader: after qd4, what is the continuation, i see white defending, i think? I am not being obtuse, really, just asking for the line. thanks.
Jan-07-10  Antonius Blok: What about just f6 after Qd4 ?
Jan-07-10  310metaltrader: Then the queen takes the h pawn and it is downhill from there - the issue is that black literally has no moves and is totally defensive
Jan-07-10  LaFreak III: 41...Qd6
42.Qd4 (42...f6?? 43.Bc4 wins)
42...Kf8 white still wins
Jan-08-10  310metaltrader: i do not know if there is a mate in a few, but black is just screwed
Jan-09-10  PAWNTOEFOUR: one possible line,achieved with Crafty after 1.5 billion nodes....pv 41...Qe6 42.Qd4 Kf8 43.Qh8+ Ke7 44.Bb4+ Kd7 45.Qd4+ Kc8 46.Qa7 Qc6 47.Bf5+ Re6 48.Qxf7 Qc1+ 49.Kh2 Qf4+ 50.Kh3 Qxb4 51.Qxe6+ +324 Crafty
