Gypsy: Space dominance by White leads to a quick K-side demolition.
Nov-23-09  Don Cossacks: It seems Laylo didn't learn his lesson in the 1st round against Navara and employed Scandinavian again that led to his 2nd defeat.
Nov-24-09  GalileoPiccolino: Those who never picked up and learned from history are doom to repeat the same...
Dec-05-09  CallCenterAgent: The Scandinavian is sound. It was employed by Anand against Kasparov during their championship match. Anand was able to obtain slight advantage in the opening.Anand lost though. The problem with GM Laylo is, he is predictable. He uses the Scandinavian on almost all E4 by white. Local or international tournaments. Opponents are well prepared for this.He should seek alternative antidotes to E4.
Dec-05-09  kurtrichards: <The problem with GM Laylo is, he is predictable. he uses the Scandinavian on almost all E4 by white.> Can't blame GM Laylo on that. Even the great Petrosian couldn't resist using his pet Caro-Kann against 1.e4.

<He should seek alternative antidotes to E4.> Sicilian Defense. Or maybe French Defense. GM So employed the French Defense in eliminating GM Kamsky.

Dec-07-09  CallCenterAgent: <Even the great Petrosian couldn't resist using his pet Caro-Kann against 1.e4> Right,, Kasparov employed the Sicilian Najdorf everytime White plays E4.Though the Sicilian has more variations compared to the Scandinavian
