Kibitzer's Corner
Nov-17-09  extremepleasure2: I just can't believe how on earth World Champion Anand could make such a blunder like 12...Ne4 and how such an outstanding female chess player like Konteniuk could miss the standard punishment of this move with 13.Bd5? This looks like a game between 2 patzers.
Nov-17-09  Rachit: That is what is Blitzzz my friend ;-). Only the result matters.
Nov-17-09  Whack8888: It is possible that you are missing something.

if 13. Bd5 then 13...exd4 will give Black an alright position.

Nov-17-09  psmith: <Whack8888>: good point! 13. Bd5 exd4 14. cxd4 Qe8; 13. Bd5 exd4 14. Bxe4 d5; 13. Bd5 exd4 14.Bxc6 dxe3 15. Bxe4 exf2+ with three pawns for the piece and an unclear position.
Nov-18-09  Phoenix: In light of the comments to Carlsen vs Kosteniuk, 2009, may I propose the possibility that Kosteniuk lost THIS game because she was distracted by Anand's good looks?
Nov-19-09  extremepleasure2: psmith,

13. Bd5 if 13... ed4 then 14. Nxd4! Nxd4 (14... Bxd4 15. cd4! so that if 15... Qe8 15. Qc2! wins) 15. Be4! d5 16. Bxd4! Bxd4 17. Bxh7+ Kh7 18. cd4 and white's position looks better.

However, I should concede the fact that Anand's 12... Ne4 isn't a blunder.
