  GrahamClayton: Trying the break the pin by 10...h6 loses to 11. ♗xh6 gxh6 12. ♕xh6 ♘bd7 13. ♔h1, with the unstoppable threat of 14. ♖g1+.
Dec-29-20  lunchwithgina: After 24...Re8 25.Qxe8+ Qxe8 26.Rxe8 Kxe8 27.Bxf5, unpinning the pawn with 27...Re7 preserves Black's edge, but after 28. f4, white is still in the game, as it looks like black would have nothing better than 28...Rb2. Instead, white plays the active-looking 28. Rg4, allowing black the option to activate with 28...Ne6 rather than grabbing the b2 pawn. And after white continues his activity with 29. Rh4, Metger plays 29...Re1 30. Kg2 g5 and Schiffers realizes he has missed something important.

Game title/pun submitted: Metger unpins and needles

I had a more complex pun in mind involving Metger actually playing his namesake maneuver ...Nd8 followed by ...Ne6, but there were no examples in the Chessgames database.
