sachistu: Just for general information... Lombardy (in Chess Life, August 20th, 1959) gave Black's 39th a '??' saying "overlooking the reply" but also saying that even on 39...Kg8 40.f4 would still follow. The game was adjourned after Black's 40th and 41. fxg5 was sealed. However, Evans failed to appear for the adjournment session. Lombardy calls this one of his best games of the championship.

The version (which also exists in Chessbase) that triggered this correction had White's 24th as 24.h3 with the rest being ...Qa7 25.Nc3 Rd7 26.Nd5 1-0. Of course, in that version, White is NOT winning.
