Jan-24-09  midnightsun88: Tiger from Scandinavia strikes again!
Jan-25-09  Eyal: Iturrizaga had to play bullet chess in the 2nd half of the game, as he left himself only 21 seconds after 21 moves (http://www.chessvibes.com/reports/c... - from about 2:50)
Jan-25-09  Ychromosome: Interesting variation and exchange sacrifice.
Jan-25-09  Towershield: why not 19.Nd5?(19.Nd5 c6 20.Bb6)

Incredible that Iturrizaga didn't flag before move 40! 19 moves in 21 seconds in a middlegame position without delay or incrememnt!!! Ugh.

Jan-25-09  Phoenix: 21 seconds to make 19 moves...somewhere Reshevsky is smiling.
Jan-26-09  KingG: What a kind of maniac gives himself 21 seconds for 19 moves? I mean, I know Tiger Hillarp Persson probably makes you think more than normal in the opening with his crazy moderns, but the position wasn't that weird.

Korora: By the time they hit move forty, Bonelli was facing a series of checks culminating in Tiger returning the Exchange to go along with his extra ♙, and making said extra ♙ a delayable-but-unstoppable passer.

I wonder how long Persson took on each move while Bonelli was struggling; a chance to think while Persson was pondering his next move might explain why Bonelli wasn't mated before move forty.
