Jan-09-09  vanthanh42: Hi !!
Jan-09-09  NewLine: I think this game would never be mentioned if not for being (undeservedly) Game Of The Day...
Jan-09-09  NewLine: And this is kind of a nice paradox too...
Jan-09-09  WaxTadpole: Maybe instead of "Foldes Folds" they could go with "Gyula Hoop"
Jan-09-09  geigermuller: <newline> it think this IS an interesting game, why are you saying it does not deserve being GOTD?
Jan-09-09  Hitokiri Battousai: very good game
Jan-09-09  Samagonka: What a beatin'
Jan-09-09  ILikeFruits: hello...
Jan-09-09  soberknight: It's a good game. A critical decision for Black was castling at move 11. I would have done that too, but seeing the result, maybe he should have tried Qc7, Be7, O-O or g6, Bg7, O-O.
Jan-09-09  kevin86: The black king got called for traveling...
Jan-09-09  Jim Bartle: Then he should play in the NBA, where nobody ever calls travelling.

Phony Benoni: Too bad Black couldn't promote his king to a queen when it reached the eighth rank. White would then be the one getting mated!
Jan-09-09  Operation Mindcrime: 1. e4?? Surprising that White won this game, he put his position into the last throes with his first move :-)
Jan-09-09  WhiteRook48: I agree he should've have played 1. d4 or 1. Nf3, or even 1. e3!! :-) The pun really fits though.

  GrahamClayton: After 27...♖e8 28. ♖a7+ ♔e6 29. ♖e1+ ♔f5 I can't find a checkmate for White. Is there one?

Also, can White checkmate after 30...♖f8, instead of 30...♗a1?
