Nov-21-08  Nezhmetdinov: Short is playing some of the best chess of his life here and England are utterly reliant on him. Nige! Nige! We salute you!
Nov-21-08  computer chess guy: White walked into trouble with 33. ♔f2: better was 33. ♘f1. But Short's play is very impressive (35. .. ♗b7! is particularly nice).
Nov-23-08  aragorn69: Really impressive play by Short in Dresden. Even his loss to Kramnik is well worth watching and analysing!

A brand new chess magazine under leadership from GM Jörg Hickl and his compagnons : Prof. Dr. Christian Hesse,GM Dr. Robert Hübner, GM Artur Jussupow, IM Stefan Löffler, GM Christopher Lutz, GM Michael Prusikin, IM Georgios Souleidis and IM Frank Zeller.

The magazine is not only eye catching,as for example the interesting cover and entertaining article about the great artist and chess player Marcel Duchamp. Included in this article is a photograph from his fountain of 1917,interesting to mention is that the original urinal from 1917,did get lost but Duchamp masde on the 1960s some replicas and these copies are now on display in museums.

Jan-05-10  Gilmoy: Eye-popping: <20..a6 21.a4> to "prevent" b5 -- and Short promptly reorganizes his entire backfield to prepare <25..b5> anyways. Lesson: If life gives the other guy a and e, <Make Your Own>.

Note the sly reply <32.Rfe3 Kf8!> -- as soon as White finally pays a tempo to actually take e, Black snuffs the entry threat.

Jan-05-10  tibone: Petrosian would have been proud of Rxg3!
