Eggman: Hmmm. Did White lose on time, perhaps?
Nov-25-07  Jim Bartle: Well, he did reach move 40. I suspect black was threatening something very disagreeable with his knight, such as d6-e4xg3.
Nov-25-07  aazqua: Snap. White is busted here. Interesting game, good example of strong and weak minor pieces
Nov-26-07  tal lover: this game is wrong, i think a lot of games of round 2 have problems

Mateo: I don't think this game is wrong. Why? A painstaking victory for Adams against a much weaker opponent, according to their ratings.

Zugik blundered with 37.Rg2? allowing a beautiful combination, after 38.Bc2 (if 38.Rff2 Qc1+) Nxc4!!. If 39.Qxc4 Rxh2! invades and wins.

After careful examination, it seems that the Rook should have stayed on the open file. For instance, if 37.a4 Qh6 38.Rf6.

Nov-27-07  menhir: Was 24. 0-0 correct? I thought about 0-0-0.
Mar-06-08  socratead: This game is wrong. I have the right one in Chess Canada...
