Oct-05-07  Bobsterman3000: Shakh attack! 12. h5 looks unsound, but I can't see any way for black to take advantage in response...

Oct-05-07  Andrew Chapman: Isn't this an unforced blunder?
Oct-05-07  Gouki: <Andrew Chapman> I think that this is an unforced blunder by the 2500 rated GM.

mamedyarov dominated this game, making chess look so easy :D

Ron: I'm inclined to think 12. h5 is sound, offering a pawn in a attack against the king.

If Black plays 12. ... Bxh5 then the continuation 13. f3 f5 14. exf5(e.p.) gxf6 15. g4 traps Black's bishop

If Black plays 12. ... gxh5 here is an idea for White 13. f3 Bf5 14. Nf4 h4 15. Rxh4 e6 16. Nh5 Bh8 with a strong attack for White

Top grandmasters who play d4 are my chess heroes!

Oct-06-07  ahmadov: I like this game, but what I do not like is that Shark usually plays to his opponent not the board...
Oct-08-07  Strongest Force: It's possible that after 12.h5, if Bxh5 white can sac with 13.Rxh5 which has happened many times in simular positions before.

The 2567 was afraid of Shak's attacking abilities and i dont blame him. I have often thought of Shak as being a young Alekhine!
