Kibitzer's Corner
Feb-15-07  ahmadov: Congratulations to Vugar for winning this difficult but interesting game!!!
Feb-15-07  e4Newman: interesting attempt by ivanov. he's playing with the move order in the 12.a4 zaitsev. it's a line i often play, except i use ...h6 to avoid ng5

...qd7 allows ...nd8 to protect f7. i find this allows a bad bind after d5, but gashimov shows e5 is even worse. white now has play on both wings while black is all tied up. ...c5 is so critical for black to play.

good stamina by white to take that slight advantage to a win at move 85!!

Feb-15-07  Jafar219: Vugar played like Fischer-won pawn and then game.
Oct-13-14  joddon: not an easy win in an ending like so,,, but chased his king al over the place , and was consistent like a hawk....Vugar well deserved victory...ivanove does a mastery with his rook in the end awaiting a slightest positional blunder....but Vugar instincts never allowed it.amazing fight.
