Kibitzer's Corner
Jul-07-09  WhiteRook48: Ra1 and Ra8+ winning
Jul-07-09  kelu: ...c3 58. Ra1 c2 59.Ra8+ Bf7
how whites win ?
Jul-07-09  WhiteRook48: wrong, then 58 Rc1 instead
Jul-07-09  kelu: 58. Rc1 Bg5+ 59.Ke4 Bxc1 60.Kd5 Rxc7 61.Bxc7 c2 etc.
Apr-13-10  tomekrej: Well noticed. Black has good chances to save the game though White will get an advantage if he plays correctly. 57...c3 58.Ke4 c2 59.Kd3 Bg5 60.Ra1 (threatening Ra8+ and Rh8 mate) Kf8 61.Ra8+ Ke7 62.Ra7 Kxe6 63.Ra6 c1Q 64.c8Q Kd5 65.Ra5+ Rc5 66.Qd7+ Kxe5 67.Qd4+ followed by 68.Qxc5 This is all pretty much forced according to Rybka and in the end White is better but still fairly tricky to win as Black checks first and the queen and bishop work well together. So yeah don't know why I resigned.
