Sep-13-06  Whitehat1963: Interesting tactics after 15...Bxd6.
Dec-07-06  Dres1: How can Caoili criticize Kournikova's tennis and say that she can "actually play chess"? what a joker this girl is.
Dec-07-06  slomarko: she had a good position actually
Dec-07-06  Dres1: a good position? from where im standing, it looks like she is on the one way road to a loss ever since white plays e5
Dec-07-06  slomarko: i disagree. in my view only Rhg8 is the error.
Dec-07-06  Dres1: What do you suggest as an alternative? by that point, she is already down one pawn, her rook is under attack, and e6 is weak.. how is she not clearly worse?
Dec-07-06  slomarko: well she obviously saced some material to attack the white king. Rhf8 maybe?
Dec-07-06  Dres1: it seems to me the white king is safer than the other one.. after Rf8 cant he just play Bxb7 ...Qxb7 Qxe6? this looks good for white to me.
Dec-07-06  Dres1: or better yet, Bxb7+ ...Qxb7 Rdxd7!
Dec-07-06  slomarko: maybe but i dont she played a bad game sometimes opponent just played a little better. it happened to kasparov too!
Dec-07-06  Dres1: true.. i was just wondering which position of hers you thought was good
Dec-07-06  Dres1: anyway, im not trying to bash anyone.. i just dont think she should be talkin smack about Kournikova and trying to say that she can actually play chess because i dont find her particularly special at chess... shes aiight.. nothing more. she cant be a pro chess player, Kournikova is a pro tennis player. Thanks for talking to me though, i rarely get people responding to me here for some reason, maybe its the intimidating avatar.

WannaBe: < Dres1: true.. i was just wondering which position...>

I was going to post something, but realized the humour would not be appreciated, and probably be deleted in a nano-nano-second.

Dec-07-06  Dres1: haha... thats great!
Dec-07-06  slomarko: <Dres1> i dont mind if she's talking smack about Kournikova. what is an avatar? is that the little green thing next to your name?
Dec-07-06  euripides: I suppose at the end the point is 24...Rxf8 25.Qxe6 when 25...Rxf6 loses to 26.Qe8+.

13...g6 looks crazy until one remembers Black can always castle queen's side. I guess it's a bit risky anyway, but it's an interesting fight.

Dec-07-06  slomarko: yes thats my point she played risky but not bad she made an interesting game. (not played for a draw)

Jonathan Sarfati: <Dres1> Don't forget that Caoili plays against both men and women, while Kournikova plays only other women.
