Jul-27-06  JYMMI: now 1-...Ne3+ 2-Rxe3 Qxe3 3-Qf6 Qe2+ 4-Kh3 Qh5+ 5-Kg2 Qe2+...
Jul-27-06  chessic eric: can it be that 46.Kf2 is best!?
Jul-27-06  percyblakeney: Yep, must be drawn now...
Jul-27-06  Atking: <mistergore: no just ranked 31 in the world lol> and will be soon one of the best.
Jul-27-06  crwynn: Mateo: can't threats to f7 and h8 both be met with ...Ra7? White may still have something, of course.
Jul-27-06  gmgomes: I have 200 in draw; it will compesate my bets in Radjabov and Pelletier.
Jul-27-06  virginmind: why not 45...Qd2+?
Jul-27-06  MrMelad: 46.Rxe2 is the only move.
Jul-27-06  madlydeeply: i've been away from the game...what the hell is the white queen doing on h4?
Jul-27-06  MrMelad: Rxe3 ofcourse
Jul-27-06  JustAFish: 44... Nd5 was a pretty brilliant follow up, though. If 45 Bxd5 then Qxd5+ and the white rook falls. If, on move 45, the rook doesn't move from e6 and the Bishop doesn't take D5, then, simply fxe and the the f6 square is protected from perpetual. Didn't see that.
Jul-27-06  chessic eric: 46.Kh3?,Qf5+ 47.Kh2,Rxa2+ 48.Bxa2,Qc2+
Jul-27-06  crwynn: Ah, never mind, White certainly does have something; there is also a threat to e6 and I'm sure he has at least a draw if he captures there.
Jul-27-06  alekhine101: Guys, I am a novice. Just humor me. What if instead of Ne3, Carlsen had played Qd2+??
Jul-27-06  GiorgioCappelletti: someone gives Fritz eval please
Jul-27-06  virginmind: alekhine101: that's what i've said before
Jul-27-06  maxfrank: <Mateo> I think after 43...Ne4 44 Bc2 that ...Qxa2 works.
Jul-27-06  MrMelad: well, its a draw. Too bad, Carlsen had the better position most of the game.
Jul-27-06  spirit: <virginmind> i wonder? looks very fine

Honza Cervenka: <Guys, I am a novice. Just humor me. What if instead of Ne3, Carlsen had played Qd2+??> Kf1 Ne3+ Rxe3 Qxe3 Qf6 looks not much different.
Jul-27-06  dominguez: 46-Re3 Qe3 47 Qf6! and 1.5-1.5
Jul-27-06  Ulhumbrus: Back for a moment. Has Carlsen let the win slip?

Mateo: <CRWynn: Mateo: can't threats to f7 and h8 both be met with ...Ra7? White may still have something, of course.> 46.Re3 Qe3 47.Qf6 Ra7, just 48.Qd6 is good enough to give White the advantage. So Carlsen would have to take the draw with perpetual check instead.
Jul-27-06  Marmot PFL: If it is the draw, the Moro-Radjabov game is worth watching.
Jul-27-06  babakova: Not many grandmasters are this dangerous with black though. Bruzon had to earn his draw despite the fact he was white.
