  MissScarlett: <Whyld (1998)> has the date <[October 1919]>, indicating uncertainty, based on the <Deutsche Schachzeitung November 1919 p.232, 'recent'.>

Lasker gave displays in several cities in October. On what basis <Regensburg>?

Feb-03-22  Chessist: Rather Breslau instead of Regensburg

MissScarlett: The source is the <Vossische Zeitung> of November 9th 1919, p.21. That paper appears to be in the unusual habit of omitting page numbers.

Problem - <Whyld (1998)> doesn't list a simul in Breslau on that tour. Granted, the list might be incomplete or in error, but does the <Schachfreund aus Breslau> necessarily mean the game was played there?

Good thing the DFG interfaces doesn't.

MissScarlett: But if a paper comes in sections, I want to know about it. Even in the early twentieth century, some Sunday heavyweights were running close to 200 pages.
Feb-04-22  Z free or die: I agree with <Missy> on the Sunday papers with sections - but DFG does show this was a single section paper of 28 pages.

But a paper without page numbers is a nuisance - all the more reason to use the <Source_url> tag!

Feb-09-22  Chessist: According to reports in Schlesische Zeitung, Lasker gave two displays in Breslau. On Monday, November 3, simultaneously against twelve of the strongest players of the chess clubs Morphy and Anderssen +10 =2 (Hauck, Babel) and on Tuesday, November 4, 25 games simultaneously +24 =1.
