This game was played on October 10, 1892.

Dec-25-20  Granny O Doul: The finish is similar to a variation from J Sunye Neto vs Kasparov, 1981 , had White run the other way with his king at 42. The line is pointed out by stanleys on apr 26 2006.

A few years after that game, Kasparov still considered it his best combination though eventually it was overwhelmed by the rest of his career.

Dec-25-20  Granny O Doul: The finish is reminiscent ("preminiscent"?) a variation from J Sunye Neto vs Kasparov, 1981 , had White run the other way with his king at 42.

For some years after that later game, Kasparov considered it his best combination. Eventually, though, it seems to have been overwhelmed by the rest of his catalogue.
