Kibitzer's Corner
Nov-21-06  Whitehat1963: Lasker really shows the difference between a master and an amatuer with 9. d5, 10. Nc3, 11. Bg5 and 12. Re1. From then on, there is no recovery. Nevertheless, the efficient bloodletting continues with 14. Rxe5 and 15. Nxb5. The rest is way too easy for him. Excellent execution from Lasker.
Feb-01-14  M.C.B.1: Here is a clear demonstration of someone who really sees the board clearly. Something everyone thinks they can do, but which only the really well trained can actually do. That is why amazing moves seem to come "out of thin air" with a real master.
Feb-02-14  Calli: Added the exact date. This was one of 5 games in a blindfold simultaneous exhibition at the Manhattan CC on 22 Oct 1892. Source: Whyld's Collected Games of Emanuel Lasker, game 139.
