Kibitzer's Corner
Nov-27-05  GBKnight: After white moves his king, say to c8, black will check on the f-file and then queen the pawn. eg 90Kc8 Qf8+, 91 Kc7 f1(Q). The two queens will easily prevent perpetual check.
Nov-29-05  Gypsy: Fine Q-endgame study material.

<43.Qe3?> White reads the resulting pawn endgame wrong. With the queens on, White had more space. With the queens off, the differing positions of the f-pawns spells disaster for White.

<47...Kf6!> Black is either completely winning, or very close to it. After <48.Ke4 Ke6>, the space "avantage" White seem to enjoy is a dangerous deception. In reality, White situation is desperate.

<50.Kc5!> Bringing the queens back is certainly the best try. The Q+2P vs Q+P ending may or may not be objectively lost. But a passive defense would be foiled as thus: 50.Ke3 Kg4 51.Kf2 Kh3! (51...f5?? 52.Kg2 ,zugzwang) 52.f5!? gxf5 53.Kf3 f6! 54.Kf4 Kg2 55.Kxf5 Kxg3 56.Kxf6 Kxh4 ... with an easy win for Black; or 52.Kf3 f5! 53.Kf2 Kh2 54.Kf3 Kg1 55.Ke3 Kg2 ... and White is also toast.

The second Q-endgame is fascinating and Bologan played it very well. I am not sure to what extend he was helped by White, however. Maybe the <65.Qe5+(?) Qe4! 66.Qxh5...> was a mistake and 65.Qxf7 would have held?
