chessgames.com: "75M nodes" means crafty looked at 75,000,000 position to reach its conclusion
Jan-17-05  cheski: 75 million??? Homeric!

Sneaky: That might sound like a lot but a computer analyzing a billion positions is no big deal with modern technology. I don't know if IBM was pulling our leg, but they said that Deep Blue could see 2 billion per second!
Jan-17-05  yunis: huge mistak ...e5 allowing elibiration of whites light squar bishop!!!

ketchuplover: Now I'm not liking Polgar's game :(
Jan-17-05  cheski: <sneaky> I am right up there then :) as I can see at least 2 positions per second. Make that per minute. What is a few billions' difference :-)
Jan-17-05  Shams: "I think that black should be ok if that rook has to sit there [on c1]...fairly simplified position, I don`t know if there`s so much [there]" -- J. Benjamin on chess fm, about one minute ago
Jan-17-05  Knight13: I suggest White NOT to take the Queen on f7.
Jan-17-05  Knight13: What does the moves 12.a4 followed by 13.a5 mean?

Sneaky: Black wanted to play ...b5 but after a4-a5 it becomes hard to do that because of axb6 en passant.

ketchuplover: Grishuk has 57 minutes left for 33 moves!
Jan-17-05  Shams: <Knight13> it means six more weeks of winter. Don`t shed your winter mouse coat just yet. ;)
Jan-17-05  Knight13: Thanks, <Sneaky>.
Jan-17-05  Knight13: How do I watch other live games?
Jan-17-05  fred lennox: i'd think i'd go for the queen exchange.
Jan-17-05  radu stancu: Live games: http://www.coruschess.com/openlive....
Jan-17-05  Knight13: 20. Qh3 and if e5 then 21. c3.
Jan-17-05  cheski: Are Moro and Grishuk really only on move 7?
Jan-17-05  Knight13: <radu stancu> Thanks for the info.
Jan-17-05  fred lennox: Van Wely has that Tal look, that bluffer look to him.
