Kibitzer's Corner
Mar-29-06  RandomVisitor: oops...
Apr-02-07  pawnofdoom: What happened here? did Shchebenyuk accidently touch the Nf6 or something?
Jul-24-12  Abdel Irada: Why are "variations" like this included in the Opening Explorer database? It's pretty obvious that 9. ...♘e4 is nothing more than a fingerfehler. To present it as a line of play seems rather pointless.
Aug-25-22  Morphy number 4: A millennium ago, when I tried my hand at correspondence chess, we used a numeric notation system, e.g. 1.d4 was written as 1.4244 and the answer 1..Nf6 would look like 1..7866 OTB players can easily make mistakes in this alien system, so I assume miss Shchebenyuk wrote 9..6654 in stead of 9..6645 on her postcard. A simple clerical error, but obviously a losing move.
