May-26-06  samikd: Is this a line ???
May-26-06  zev22407: A great game ,crazy position ,should be analyzed with a strong chess engine.
May-26-06  zev22407: In all other games in this line white played e3
May-26-06  VargPOD: I don't understand this game at all. Why 10...Kxf7 instead of 10...Ke7 ? Why 13.Qxc8+ instead of 13.Bxb2 ? Or is it just Friday?
May-26-06  pawn to QB4: OK, I'll have a go before we try the computer. 10...Ke7 is met by 11.Qxd8+ Kxd8 12.exf6 with advantage, particularly because 12...cxb2 falls into 13.Bxb2 threat fxg7. 13.Bxb2 is met by 13...Nxa6 trapping the queen, e.g. 14.Qa5 Bb4+, and Black emerges a piece up.
May-26-06  VargPOD: Ok, I saw 10...Ke7 11.Qxd8+ Kxd8 12.exf6 gxf6 and it in my opinion doesn't look so bad for black, material is even.

13...Na6-14...Bb4+ -combo I didn't see, and I think that black must have seen that or he would'nt have played 10...Kxf7.

Thanks, <pawn>. Shouldn't kibitz on Fridays.

<pawn to QB4>,
A better option for White is 13. ♗xb2 ♘a6 14. ♕xc8+ ♖xc8 15. exf6 ♗b4+ 16. ♔e2 gxf6, when Black is only a pawn up.
