FSR: 7.Be3?? d5! (instead of 7...b6?) wins a piece, e.g. 8.exd5 exd5 9.Bb3 d4. I have caught dozens of people in this trap over the years.

FSR: Note that Black could also have won with ...d5! on move 8 and 9. On move 10, Black finally did play ...d5!, but inexplicably followed up with 11...Nxd5?? instead of winning a piece with 11...exd5. White won a pawn for nothing on moves 17-18, but managed to get mated off the board nonetheless.

  FSR: 1.e4 c5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Nc3 g6 4.Bc4 Bg7 5.0-0 e6 6.d3 Nge7 7.Be3?? d5! (rather than Fallas Marin's 7...b6??) 8.exd5 exd5 (Sofia Budolina-Svetlana Polushkina, WCh U12 Girls 1994) and now White's best was 9.Nxd5 Nxd5 10.Bxc5 with a large advantage to Black - Knaak on ChessBase's 1000 Opening Traps CD.
